What to Expect
  • This is a 45-minute, thoughtfully paced dance class designed to support both caregiver and baby.

    • 5-minute check-in

    • 5 minutes of gentle warm-up

    • 30 minutes of guided, low-impact, baby-safe dance movement

    • 10 minutes of active stretching and grounding, with opportunities to engage with your baby

Throughout the entire class, seated options and movement variations are always available for moms who need to rest or support their healing bodies. Participants are encouraged to listen to their bodies and move at their own pace.

  • Caring for a baby can feel isolating, which is why community is a core part of this class. Mommy & Me Dance is designed to create a welcoming space where caregivers can connect with other parents while carving out intentional time for themselves and their baby. Through shared movement, music, and dance, this class fosters meaningful connection, support, and a sense of belonging during an important stage of parenthood.

  • Classes are led by Head Trainer Shira Math, who brings over 12 years of experience in professional dance, group fitness, personal training, and postpartum fitness training. Parents are guided by an instructor who understands that everybody—and every recovery journey—is different. Shira emphasizes safe, adaptable movement, encouraging participants to move at their own pace and ability. The focus is on joy, not perfection, with the belief that when joy leads the way, wellness naturally follows.

  • This class is grounded in respect, inclusivity, and care. All caregivers and babies are welcome, regardless of identity, race, background, or ability. We are committed to providing a non-discriminatory, affirming space where everyone feels seen, supported, and safe to move in their own way. Differences are honored, accessibility is prioritized, and community is built through mutual respect and shared experience.

  • Community doesn’t end when class does. Follow-up is always encouraged, and feedback is warmly welcomed. We value open communication and invite caregivers to share their experiences, questions, or suggestions. Your input helps us continue to create classes that are responsive, supportive, and aligned with the needs of our community. Please reach out directly to SHIRAEMATH@GMAIL.COM
